In Denton, urgent care centers are busiest on weekends and evenings when doctors' offices are closed, and most post their wait times online. Across Texas, primary care practices often have a waitlist for new patients, so establishing care before you need it saves time. For a dental emergency outside office hours, an urgent care center can prescribe antibiotics and pain relief but cannot fix the tooth; a hospital emergency room can treat swelling that affects breathing or swallowing. Check the listing for insurance, hours and whether telehealth visits are offered.

This is my first time at this Denton Medical City. I came here for radiology appointment. My check-in was fast, friendly and courteous. The facility was clean and pleasant. My wait time was short. The team in Radiology are excellent and extremely friendly. They made me feel comfortable, listen to my questions and very through in explaining my concerns. The equipment was fairly new and functional and operated without any problems. I felt very confident and comfortable with this choice of hospital and the team. I strongly would recommend for anyone seeking radiology services and also continue my relationship with this quality facility which is very hard to find these days.

Once again, Hubs had to visit the ED - we always come here, we have found them to be very consistent - very professional, caring and very timely. Our Nurse, Shannon - was so very on point with everything, very caring - always checking on us and never forgetting anything - thank you Shannon for being such a great Nurse - The PA, I think his name was Luke was also great, checked on us several times. The Dr, can't remember his name, but he came in for final questions and all was good by the time we left - thanks again for taking such good care of my Hubs!!!!

My Husband and I could not have asked for better care following his Heart Attack. From the speediness he was seen and treated in the Cath Lab to the days in Cardiac ICU. We were met with compass , expert, and informative treatment. The Nursing Staff were always quietly in and out of his room, either giving care or just checking on us, always taken time to answer our question or getting to know us, they made us feel like family. All of the Medical Staff at Medical City- Denton have given our entire family more time together. We will forever be grateful for them.

I am only writing this review to shout out the wonderful nurses that work at this hospital!! One star removed only because the hospital itself can do a lot better on a lot of things - including, valuing itβs nurses and staff! The nurses themselves deserve all 5 stars! Iβve been to this hospital countless times, as an ER patient and as a GI and cardio admitted patient. (separate times.) The GI floor nurse I had, was floated there but she was lovely and advocated for me when I felt my needs were not being addressed. I believe her name was Jackie. On a different visit, she was doing rounds in the ER and I saw her again, still bright and wonderful as ever! I wish I could remember all of my nurses names. I donβt think Iβve had a single bad nurse in all the years Iβve been to this hospital. I only started remembering to write down folks names a couple years ago. In May of 2023 on the GI floor, I had nurses Jackie, Grayson, Scarlett, and the nurse leader, Katheryn. My tech was Christine, and my PT was Sneha. Each of them played a critical role in my care and checked on me, and the nurse leader was proud of her team and the work they do. On May 23rd, 2024, I was supposed to be admitted

Once I was admitted to the hospital for observation and testing, several issues arose. Even though the attending doctor spoke with me in the ER and had a clear understanding of the medications I normally take for the rest of the day (2 different ones including a GERD med needed to help me sleep), I did not receive either of them, which led to considerable discomfort throughout the night. Same with my morning med for thyroid issues--it never came. The patient tech told me she would check vitals every 4 hours, and she was very prompt about that, but somebody else woke me in the middle of a 4-hour cycle to draw blood--seems to me that could have been done during a regular tech visit to avoid unnecessary sleep disruption. After my sleep-deprived night, starting about 6 am as the hospital started buzzing with activity, my room door was constantly left standing wide open, no matter who came in and out--nobody bothered to close the door, so the hallway noise and loud conversation prevented me getting a cat nap to catch up on sleep. There is a poster on the wall with numbers to call food service for meals, but nobody on the staff bothered to tell me about needing to do that. Fortunately, t
